Office 2010 will be officially presented today at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partners Conference. If you’re interested in finding out what’s new about this latest version then here it is:
- For the first time in its history Microsoft decided to offer free online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Obviously, I’m talking about lite versions and not full desktop ones that will get along just fine with IE, Firefox and Safari.
- You can now publish your documents on the web;
- Multiple users can edit a single document simultaneously;
- You can paste screenshots into Word documents and preview paste jobs;
- Outlook 2019 offers improved search features and an email conversation view;
- PowerPoint 2010 features new transitions and improved photo editing tools;
- Outlook Mobile’s desktop version offers a mobile document viewer allowing you to use your mobile device (incl. iPhone and BlackBerry) to open files stored on a server.
We’ll keep you posted with more information as soon as possible.
