If you want to manage the remote FTP sites just like any other local drive you should give NetDrive a chance.

This Windows utility is very easy to use. All you have to do is to create your personal profile and start copying files from and to the FTP site. You don’t need a FTP client for all this because as you can see the entire process is very simple. When you’re finished you must only bring up the NetDrive window and disconnect yourself.

This program also allows you to automatically map any FTP site as a Windows drive by making it load at startup.

With NetDrive you can create your own profile but you should know that it also comprises a few preset profiles for Adobe, Microsoft, Apple and HP servers .
