If you watched HD quality videos on YouTube, you probably noticed that the URL doesn’t change when you switch to it from normal mode. Adding &hd=1 to the URL will do the trick in this case, allowing you to link directly to the HD version of the video.
Example:
- youtube.com/watch?v=ZOmLnGrq-bA – this will show the standard version
- youtube.com/watch?v=ZOmLnGrq-bA&hd=1 - this will show the HD version
