If you’re a proud owner of an iPhone you should upgrade the software to the new 3.0.1 version. Don’t dream about any flashy features such as MMS because there aren’t any. You will only get an important security fix presented to the public last Thursday at the Black Hat conference.

With just a SMS message, the exploit will allow remote code execution on any iPhone.

This vulnerability can be used to take control of several iPhones and also to access personal info but according to Apple, no device was compromised until now.

Android phones also had to deal with a similar exploit but Google moved very fast and released a patch in time.

Now, back to iPhone, the 3.0.1 update is free for download via iTunes.
