Audacity is an open source cross-platform audio editing utility that reached the 1.3.8 Beta stage. I guess that all of you that used the previous versions of this program will agree that this new build is a lot more stable than the last 1.2.6 release.

So why is this still a Beta? Well… the software is still under construction, the documentation isn’t final and the only available language is still English.

Until the final release will be available for download I’ll tell you that this new build offers noise removal tools, faster equalization, a new "mixer board" view with per-track volume meters and so much more.
