Lately Adobe Flash owned the podium when it comes to standard protocol for web video but there’s no secret that this baby needs too much resources.
Let’s hope that this resources problem is about to end because a few days ago, Adobe announced the new NVIDIA graphics friendly – Flash 10.1. This means that every NVIDIA GeForce, ION, or Tegra graphics-powered machine can display HD Flash videos in fullscreen mode even if the CPU is very slow.
Also, the new Flash 10.1 will also work on Smartphones (Blackberry, Google Android, Palm WebOS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian phones) replacing the already famous Flash Lite. Adobe is still working on an arrangement with Apple and when all papers will be ready iPhone will also join the list.
Before 2009 is over we can aspect some beta versions to hit the Internet but the final build will only be available in 2010.
